C-01Residential · London
A six-bedroom house set over three floors in a popular London suburb. Steel partially supports the first and second floors, and the roof is a mixed construction of softwood and steelwork.
The hips and valleys were set out in the model exactly to the architect's drawings, so the timber roof could be built straight onto the steel without adjustment.
C-02Residential · Courtyard development
Balconies were needed on three new multi-storey units set around a courtyard. The columns are simple, with supports fixed back to the new buildings at every level.
Cold-rolled decking beams carry mild steel plate, with finishes laid over the top.
C-03Temporary works · London
On a large construction project in London, the site offices and health and welfare facilities had to sit above an existing covered entrance ramp.
Heavy-section beams were erected over the ramp to support the offices. The longest heavy sections — shown in green in the model — were 18 m long.
C-04Healthcare · UK
The steelwork formed the main structural elements of a children's hospice, supporting precast concrete units.
The building is planned as a central hub with wings running out in four directions, each housing its own facilities.
C-05Commercial · Office unit
A spiral steel staircase providing a single-storey fire escape from an office unit. The treads are cantilevered off a central circular column and pressed into a 'zed' profile before assembly, with durbar plate treads and landings.
The stair connects to the existing steel structure through brackets placed inside the building envelope. We provided site drilling details and levels so the existing steel could be prepared before the stair arrived, together with custom arrangement and assembly drawings and developments for the tube-to-tube connections.
C-06Leisure · Sports centre
An internal escape staircase for a sports hall. The stringers are cranked PFCs with prepared butt welds, shop-assembled from our drawings and 3D model.
The handrailing was fully shop-welded into panels before treatment, then delivered and erected to our drawings. The model was 100% accurate and the client was delighted with the result.
C-07Mixed use · London
A recently completed steel-framed refurbishment of a mixed-use terraced property: beam and column construction with some rigid connections and bracing, and hollow section columns.
The steel at first-floor level was prepared with shear studs for the concrete floor. We modelled the frame with erection marks and grid lines and coloured parts by reference layer for clarity. The finished building looks great.

With every project we draw, we can upload an anonymised 3D model of the steelwork to Sketchfab. Clients, site teams and anyone without CAD can spin it round in a browser or on a phone. Same format whatever the size of the job, uploaded on request and always anonymised.

We can render a working connection, an area that needs resolving, or the whole project — free. A picture settles a site discussion faster than a section ever will, and it makes a far better social post when the job is finished.
