SSD—01Overview

Walkways, Mezzanines & Balconies by SSD

Access steelwork and secondary structures are often the jobs that go wrong on site — because they are fitted around plant, existing buildings and other trades. Modelling them properly first is what stops that.

We detail mezzanine floors, walkways, access platforms, caged ladders, balconies and temporary support structures, including heavy sections spanning existing features.

SSD—02In the detail

Where the experience shows.

Balconies

Balcony frames for multi-storey units — simple columns with supports fixed back to the building at every level, cold-rolled decking beams and plate finishes drawn to suit the façade.

Support structures

We have detailed temporary steel to carry site offices and welfare facilities over an existing covered ramp, using heavy sections up to 18 m long.

Platforms and ladders

Grated platforms, caged ladders and handrails set out to suit the plant they serve, with clearances checked in the model before anything is made.
